Distributor Spotlight: Aero Products

Headquartered near the stunning White Mountains in Show Low, Arizona, Aero Products Components Services, Inc., has been serving rotary-wing customers with global helicopter sales and support for more than 35 years.

With a vision to provide Bell Helicopter operators with 24/7 support, Ted Johnson opened the first Aero Products location in 1986 in Tempe, Arizona. Current President Jeff Winn added an FAA-approved repair station in 1999. Now able to fully service and support customers, this enticed Bell Helicopter to select Aero Products as a Customer Service Facility (CSF).

In 2009 the company relocated to its present location in Show Low, which includes a hangar on the Show Low Regional Airport. The move allowed Aero Products to include field maintenance in its ever-growing list of services and eventually become an Airbus Approved Maintenance Center. In summer of 2022, Aero Products will unveil a new multi-million-dollar hangar and demonstrate it is truly a one-stop shop.

Aero Products specializes in Bell helicopter light and medium aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhauls. Its technicians are factory-trained and offer years of experience; understanding the critical environments their operators fly in, they pride themselves on quick turn times. The extensive inventory of rental and exchange components helps to reduce the down time for customers. With one of the largest Bell, Airbus and Aeronautical Accessories on-hand inventories in the country, Aero Products often ships parts to customers the same day.

Aero Products not only supports the rotary-wing industry, but also values and supports its employees and the community. With committed respect for our Armed Services, the company takes pride in the fact that 25% of its employees are veterans. It also sponsors golf tournaments, bowling, and softball leagues for team building. Aero Products is an active supporter of the Show Low Youth Foundation, which distributes grants to local/school sport programs and provides college scholarships the local high school graduates.

Throughout the years, Aero Products has leveraged its outstanding customer service reputation to develop relationships with leading aerospace companies, enhancing its product availability for customers. While Aero Products is part of the Van Horn Aviation distributor network, it also serves as a distributor for Aeronautical Accessories, Parker LORD, BLR Aerospace, Pall Aerospace, and Helicopter Accessory Service, Inc.

For 206L LongRanger operators flying P/N 20633000-101 serial numbers A007-A009 or A012-A104, we would like to remind you that these blades are subject to AD 2022-22-08, which requires recurring tap inspections every 400 flight hours or 2,400 engine starts, whichever comes first. You can learn more about the tap test requirements and procedure in our video . These blades are likely to develop a delamination in the area of the weight pocket on the lower surface of the blade. The AD further requires removing the blades from service if the delamination reaches 6 inches in length. However, extensive company testing indicates that all blades will likely achieve their full retirement life before that occurs. So long as the delamination is monitored and does not exceed the permitted length, the blades are entirely safe to fly with no adverse effects on aircraft behavior or performance. Operators are required to report their findings at every inspection interval to VHA for tracking using the form on the last page of Service Bulletin 33000-4 . Completed forms should be emailed to info@vanhornaviation.com . Providing this data helps to ensure all operators of these blades remain safe. All of the identified blades are likely to have delaminations, so if none are detected please contact us for assistance. In addition, this AD is considered an interim action and once sufficient data is gathered it may be updated to reduce the required frequency of inspection. Refer to AD 2022-22-08 and SB 33000-4 for further information.
