Flight Testing: It’s All About the Data!

Dynamic components like rotor blades must be flight tested as part of the certification process. Using a sophisticated data acquisition system to capture up to 30 channels of data at once, VHA has conducted flight tests under the watchful eyes of FAA-designated representatives in Arizona, California, Colorado, and Texas. For example, VHA conducted high-altitude testing on its 206 tail rotor blades at Leadville, Colorado.
